In the framework of the InSupport project – Strengthening Interagency Support for Victims of Sexual Violence, the first meeting of the interagency cooperation mechanism between organizations and services to support victims of sexual violence was successfully held on May 7, 2026.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the non-profit organization Symplexis (project coordinator), KETHI, the Greek Police, the Forensic Medicine Service, the General Secretariat for Gender Equality, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family, the Ministry of Migration and Asylum, EKKA, KEMEA, the Hellenic Open University, the University of the Peloponnese, the International University of Greece, as well as UNICEF.
During the meeting, it was noted that the Mechanism is operating on a pilot basis, with the aim of identifying actual difficulties and institutional gaps, documenting best practices, and formulating realistic and implementable policy proposals. At the same time, reference was made to international and European practices and the possibility of adapting them to the Greek legal and institutional framework.
